Ty & Blake have their series!!!

A FREE short story coming December 2012
Yesterday I spent some time with my good friend S.A. McAuley and we talked about Ty, Blake and their series. She and Tj Klune started tossing names back and forth and thanks to the two of them we now have a series name.
Guards of Folsom

Given Blake's past history and what happened to Eli, it's only natural that the club he is associated with caters more to the protection of the sub rather than the Dom hence the name. While sometimes scenes can seem harsh to outsiders, Blake at his core, sees subs as precious, to be celebrated, protected and loved.

Book one will be entitled "Pup" the story of an older Dom who finds himself taming a naughty pup.

Book two will be entitled "Tag Team" This is the story of Jase, Bobby and Rig.

That's all I have planned...so far.... but I do believe that Aiden James will be making an appearance at some point in the series. I'm very curious about that man :)

Sometimes I have to shake my head at some of the crap I do. Once the name for the new series was settled, I then had a conversation with someone I've never met, in public, on speaker phone about riveting, total sensory deprivation and spanking benches.  Yes I am nuts and yes I take my research very seriously :)

WIP - Wrong

Today I'm working on "Wrong" Yes, Yes,  Erika I know I'm supposed to be doing edits but.... Tommy just screamed louder than Danny. My good friend S.A. McAuley was reading the prologue on Tuesday and when done she looked up at me and said, "This is just wrong." So I think I picked the perfect title. :)  Anyway here is an inspiration photo and a little snippet.

*Warning, NFWS, it's very explicit and just...Wrong. Read with caution*
(You have been warned)

I am Tommy Rhage. Harsh sadistic prick and most sought out hustler on the streets of Brownsfield. I stand atop the food chain, animalistic, when I bend and break the sycophantic little men who leave their unsuspecting wives and their comfortable homes in the burbs to pay homage to my nine-inch battering ram. Young, old, rich, poor, skinny, fat, each man different, yet what they need from me is always the same. I fuck them hard, and then send them back to their pathetic lives to lick their wounds—limping from the pounding their asses endured or with an aching jaw and raw throat from swallowing my beast.
They always came back for more.
Once they healed. My lip twitched into a lecherous sneer, blood dripping from the corner of my mouth.
I can give it or I can take it like a man.

New Contract signed!!!!!!!!!!!

While I was in Albuquerque attending GRL (Had an amazing time!!! More about that later)  I received great news!!  Plan B was contracted by Dreamspinner and will be coming out early in 2013. I'll keep you posted to the exact date but I believe it will be sometime in March.

Here is a little snippet (Be nice it's unedited!) I'm so excited about this one!  Thanks Jenn for the plot bunny and to Erika for keeping me focused and looking good!!!

Plan B
Inspiration for Danny and Lance

A new shimmery violet eye shadow, highlighted with a dusty grey, covered my eyelids. I cocked my head from side to side, watching my reflection in the mirror as the stream of light from the desk lamp caused the new makeup to sparkle. It was bold, daring, and in my opinion, totally kick-ass cool. With a steady, practiced hand, I added a heavy line of smoky eyeliner around each eye in a winged pattern. Thick penciled-in eyebrows with a high arch, a dab of blush to each cheek, and a light layer of gloss over my plum-lined lips completed the look. Damn I looked good!
“Really, Danny?”
I looked over to see my best friend Bo leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed over his chest. “What? Too much?” I ran my fingers through my purple-streaked blond hair, fluffing it, giving it a little more height.
“Uh yeah, you could say that.” Bo rolled his eyes. “We’re going to a frat party, not a rave.”
“Same diff,” I said. Bunch of posturing men, drinking and flexing their muscles as they chased after one conquest or another, the only difference was the beer would be free and the dance floor for shit at a frat house. Turning away from an exasperated Bo—I knew that expression on his face well—I grabbed the can of hairspray from the makeshift vanity and gave my hair another couple of blasts from the extra sticky hold. Once I was satisfied every hair was in perfect place and would be able to withstand forty-mile-an-hour wind gusts, I set the can down and turned back to face Bo.
Bo waved a hand in my direction. “And what the hell are you wearing?”
I looked down at my attire and shrugged. Torn and frayed jeans hung low on my lean hips, held in place by a black belt with silver studs. Heavy-soled black, lace-up knee boots were hidden behind faded denim so only the black matte leather of the toe was visible. A vintage black Rolling Stones T-shirt with the classic lips and protruding tongue displayed on the front completed my ensemble. I hadn’t even added any of the numerous leather and silver bracelets I normally wore on each wrist, no collar or any other jewelry except the diamond stud in my right ear. If anything I was underdressed.
“What do you mean?” I arched one perfectly penciled brow at him. “Not macho enough?”
Bo threw his head back and laughed. “You look like a bipolar drag queen.”
“Fuck off!” I mumbled, but laughed along with him. Bipolar drag queen. Whatever!
Stifling my giggles, I ran a critical eye down Bo’s slim body. Boot-cut, dark wash denim jeans, white, dollar store tennis shoes, faded blue and white-striped polo shirt. One word came to mind: boring and cheap. Okay, that was two words, but both were accurate. “Better than the thrifty geek look you’re going for.”

So what's next you ask....

People have been asking me what's next, now that the Whispering Pines Ranch series is over. Well, I can tell you I have tons of new projects in the works!!

Anderson Brooks
First I've just submitted a new novel called "Plan B" in which this gorgeous creature was the inspiration. It's the story of Danny, a theater major who catches the eye of Lance, a star football player at the University of Michigan.

While Lance is "straight" his growing attraction to Danny becomes almost an obsession. Is it the taboo or is it just Danny, who's body Lance finds a wonderland of sensual delights that calls to him?

Keeping my fingers crossed I hear from the publisher soon.(Patience is not my strong point!)

On November 24th Tuck & Cover will be released. It's the second book in the "Rough Rangers" series. The first book, Battle Buddy, is written like Shane Tucker's diary of his time in Army boot camp and Ranger school. Tuck & Cover is written in much the same way, but is Owen's recollections of boot camp and Ranger training. I'm working on a third book in the series called "Of Their Own Accord" which will be the story of Tuck and Owen's first deployment as Rangers.  I hope to see this one published early in 2013.

However, the project that is screaming at me loudest at the moment is "Wrong" This one is way out of my comfort zone. It does not have a happily ever after or even a happy for now ending. It's harsh, raw and ugly. But a story I feel I need to tell. It's about burning bridges and being treated like you've treated others. It's a major karma bitch slap. I suspect I will have this one completed before leaving for GRL (I hope)

This winter I'll be starting a series, Scotty Cade and I have been researching for the last few months. I will be writing the story of Sam, a poor kid from Detroit who's earned a scholarship to the Citadel based on his academia and athleticism. Scotty will be telling the story of Gus who attends this prestigious military college because it's what is expected of him. This should be an amazing journey to take. If you're gay you do NOT attend the Citadel and if you are, and you do, you damn sure don't let anyone know.  The first book in the series will be entitled "Knob"

And what about the Whispering Pines Ranch series?  I hate to disappoint anyone but YES the series really and truly is over. I have no plans at this time to tell Collin's or Troy's story. However, Riveted will be released as a free ebook in December. Ty didn't get his happily ever after and if anyone deserves it, it's him. Spinoff? Did someone ask about a spinoff? Ty and Blake do have some very....well....let's just say, interesting friends, you'll meet in Riveted. I don't have a series name yet, but besides Ty & Blake, I can tell you one character you'll be running into from the Whispering Pines Ranch series. Does anyone remember Aiden?

So that's it in a nutshell. Lots and Lots to keep me busy well into 2013.

His Journey has begun....bringing a series to an end.

When I sat down to write Lorcan's story I had no plans beyond one novel. As the story unfolded and I reached 180k and his story still wasn't told, I decided to make it into a trilogy. Even at the end of Lorcan's story, I knew where, or at least I thought I knew, where the story would go and where it would end...

The characters however, had other ideas.

In the original draft for Quinn's need, Jess did not survive the crash. I was writing the scene where Lorcan is at Jess's beside as he takes his last breath and I just couldn't do it. I kept walking away from the manuscript unable to finish the scene. In the end I just couldn't do it. I still had no plans to tell Jess's story. He would just quietly drift into obscurity, it was after all a story about Lorcan and Quinn's bumpy road to finding love, commitment and forever.

I stayed on this path of thought through Ty's Obsession as well. Jess doesn't play a big role in this book, other than being the means to which Ty could hurt Lorcan. No one would really care about him right? I mean, I loved Jess, but I had blinders on. The ultimate goal was to see Lorcan grow from a twenty-one year old kid who ran back to mommie and daddy when things got too tough, to a strong man who stood his ground and learned to deal with life head on. Quinn also needed to grow. Sure he's older but after so many years of hiding who he really was, he had a lot of personal growth to do. While Tyler Callahan, aka Ty, became the star of his book, I never really meant for him to be. Again It was a means to bring Lorcan and Quinn together. Ty had other plans.

And then there is Conner. Where the hell had his story come from? He was a great guy, and I had so much fun telling his story during the three previous books. If you've read them, than you know he can be a little pushy. He is with me as well and kept bugging until I told his story. I think it was vanity. He wanted the world to see him as a hottie in his prime :) But whatever the reason, he was right, his and John's story needed to be told. During the first three books we know he and John are a strong couple who have been together for thirty-seven years, but it hadn't come easy. They had earned their happily ever after.

So now it's come full circle. Jess, the man who was to die in book 2, brings the series to an end. I think it fitting. Thank you to everyone who has followed this series. Lorcan's Desire was my first attempt at writing a gay romance, stumbling through a world of publishing, editing and marketing, so foreign to me and trying to find my footing and my place in it. I hope I have learned something along the way, that I will continue to learn and give people the best damn book I can write, long after this series has been put to bed.

Description:
Sequel to Conner's Courage
Whispering Pines Ranch: Book Five

At an early age, Jess Jenkins learned to take care of his family and friends and put their needs before his own. He dreamed of finding the same simple happiness his parents had and followed their example. Then Lorcan James broke his heart and an automobile accident broke his independent spirit. Now that’s all Jess is: a broken shadow of the man he used to be, still confined to a wheelchair after six months.

Jess is finally forced to put himself first and accept the help he needs on his journey toward recovery. Though pain, frustration, and depression leave him bitter and eager to push people away, his friends refuse to allow him to wallow in self-pity. Jack has only glimpsed the man beneath Jess’s angry shell, but he takes it upon himself to prove Jess isn’t broken. And Collin is determined to bring back the sweet man he once knew. The simple, happy life Jess has always wanted is there for the taking—all he has to do is open his eyes and see it.

Conner get's himself 5 kisses

 Top2Bottom Reviews says:

Put your life aside, you won’t be needing it nor will you be allowed to leave when you jump into this tale. Yours is already provided for you as that of a spectator wanting to slap some sense into Conner or John at one point and at another wishing you could just hug them till the cows come home.

Enjoy yourself. It’s all here. Remember, all you need is courage and at the end you will feel so comfortable that when Jess makes his appearance you will want to jump up and run over to him and demand that he tell you all about his journey!

I made it!!!

This past week has been crazily insane. In fact the last four days I've been changed to my computer and have barely slept but I DID IT!!!!!!!!

I made my deadline and the new novel is sitting with the publisher (Ugghh Now I get to wait)

I don't know if I was tired or what but while writing the epilogue "It's All in the Touch" became "Plan B" but maybe I have good idea when I'm sleep walking because the publisher really liked the new title so YAY!

Okay of to bed to sleep for a week, but before I go, here is the inspiration for Danny the main character in Plan B.  Is he not gorgeous??
